3 Reasons Your Feet Could Be Hurting

3 Reasons Your Feet Could Be Hurting

July 20, 2018

Foot pain can quickly turn a good day into a miserable one. Sometimes it seems like pain comes out of nowhere or maybe you’ve dealt with it for so long that it’s just become a regular part of your life. Whatever the case, foot pain is not something that anyone wants to deal with long-term and oftentimes foot pain can be treatable. However, in other cases, foot pain can be a sign that you may be in need of medical attention.

There is no quick-fix to all foot pain, but it can be helpful to have a short list of potential causes. That’s why we’ve come up with a list of common reasons why your feet may be bothering you:

  1. Wearing the Wrong Shoes: whether it is high heels, flip-flops, or simply a shoe that just doesn’t fit right, your shoes may be the root of the issue. Part of the issue may be that you don’t have the right shoe for the activity. That’s why some sports have specific footwear to mediate repetitive high-impact motions or rotations. In other cases, it may be that your shoe does not meet the needs of your specific foot structure. For instance, if you are more flat-footed, you may need more arch support.
  2. Overdue for New Arch Support: This may seem like a no-brainer, but sometimes you just don’t want to get rid of your favorite pair of shoes or maybe you’ve been buying the same pair of gym shoes for the past 5 years. Well, just like your shoes flatten as you wear them, your feet also flatten as you age. If you’ve been experiencing pain shortly after you’ve been in your favorite pair of shoes, it may be time to think about reevaluating your arch support needs.
  3. Plantar Fasciitis: Did you know Plantar fasciitis affects at least 10% of all people at some point in their life? This common condition is a caused by a series of micro tears in the Plantar Fascia (a supporting ligament that runs from the heel up to the toes) and pain commonly presents itself in the heel or arch. Depending on the severity of the condition, pain could only be experienced in the first few steps after being seated for some time or pain could be chronic.

Whether it’s finding the right shoe, a lack of arch support, or Plantar Fasciitis, we know what it’s like to live with foot pain. That’s why we worked extensively with doctors to develop The X Brace. Specifically designed to help those with Plantar Fasciitis, The X Brace, is minimal in size and very simple to use, making it perfect to wear with any type of shoe.

The X Brace is an effective therapy for alleviating the symptoms of plantar fasciitis and soft-tissue pain, however, if you experience severe pain or persistent limited mobility, please seek professional medical attention.
