The X Brace is a great foot brace designed to relieve any foot pain you may have from plantar fasciitis, overpronation, or Sever’s Disease. To get the most out of the brace however, you’ll want to make sure you get the right size and know how to put it on properly. Once you have The X Brace, you’re going to slide the main strap (the thicker one) on your foot like you would a sock. You’ll stop sliding it once it gets to just below the ball of your foot. When you do this, make sure the smaller, looped strap is hanging off the bottom of your foot.
Now, take the looped strap, make sure it crosses over the bottom of your feet (forming the “X”) and then hook it on your back heel. The X should be placed so it supports your arches. After correctly putting on The X Brace for the first time, it will be as quick and easy as putting on a pair of socks!
There will be a break-in period for The X Brace. For the first one to two weeks, you may experience a bit of foot cramping. This is completely normal since the foot muscles are adapting to better form in the arches. If the pain gets to be too bad during the break-in period, take off the brace, and allow it to rest for 15 minutes before putting it back on.
